The Weather on the Ruta del Padre Sarmiento in Galicia changes a lot. There are many sunny days where it can get warm, up to around 17°C. But it can also rain a lot.
Pontevedra, the starting place, has both rain and sun often. The rain can be moderate to heavy. The weather is about the same in Sanxenxo and O Grove, but it might be a bit hotter and rainier.
In Cambados, A Illa de Arousa, and Vilanova de Arousa, the middle part of the route, the weather is also mixed. Some days it rains, others it's sunny. Rain can be light or heavy, but usually, it's sunny more often. Night and day temperatures stay around 7°C and 17°C.
Towards the end of the route in Padrón and Santiago de Compostela, expect more rain, but also some sunny days. It's a little cooler here, around 15°C to 16°C during the day and 7°C at night. It rains the most in Santiago.
Overall, all through the route, there will be plenty of sun but also rain. So it's smart to be ready for both. Temperatures are generally comfortable, between 7°C and 17°C.
