Tokushima

Starting in Tokushima, the trail experiences a variety of weather patterns. Early on, there are moderate rain showers mixed with sunny periods. Temperatures range from 18°C to 28°C, with some days reaching highs of 28°C, while rain ranges from 0.0 to 37.9 mm. Moving through Kamiita and Kamojima, the climate remains similar, with cloudy conditions and intermittent moderate rain.

Progressing to Kamiyama and Komatsushima, the journey witnesses a decrease in precipitation, providing more sunny intervals with temperatures from 17°C to 26°C, although some showers can still be expected.

Kōchi

In Kōchi, weather remains dynamic with partly cloudy skies interspersed with moderate to heavy rain showers. Highs fluctuate around 18°C to 28°C. Muroto experiences significant rainfall with sunny breaks, as expected in October.

Moving through Yasuda and Kōchi city, sunny spells become more frequent, though sudden showers might occur. Late in the region, in places like Susaki and Shimanto, moderate showers and sunny days create a balanced weather experience with temperatures dropping slightly towards the end.

Ehime

In Ehime, starting in Ainan, the climate offers more sun with temperatures fluctuating around 20°C to 25°C; occasional short rain showers don't last long. As the route continues through Uwajima and Ōzu, there are notable spells of heavy rain, especially in mid-month. Sunny intervals counter long rainy periods, helping balance the experience.

Uchiko and Kumakōgen host clear skies early in the stretch, with temperatures dropping in late-month as the season transitions. Matsuyama continues this pattern, seeing a consistent mix of sun and some rain.

Kagawa

Arriving at Shikokuchūō, the weather is often sunny and mild with temperatures in the mid to high teens, particularly later in the month. Moving through Kan'onji and Mitoyo, short showers punctuate mostly sunny days. Saikide to Takamatsu enjoys clearer skies mostly; however, occasional rain showers might disrupt the clear spell briefly. In late October, Sanuki marks the end of the journey with sunny weather mostly, though rain showers sprout sporadically, signalling the end of the autumn journey on the Henro trail.
