Rain is usually light to moderate, but brief heavier bursts can sweep through with a front. Sunshine windows do appear, especially between systems, yet overcast skies are common. Winds are usually light to moderate, picking up on exposed sections.
Starting near the coast, days tend to be overcast with light rain or drizzle, though dry interludes and occasional sunny breaks appear. As you head inland through forests and lakes, showers come and go, and a few warmer, summery spells slip in between cloudier stretches. A heavier band can pass with a front, then skies often lift again.
Crossing west into the uplands, the air turns fresher and the pattern stays showery, with longer, steady rain at times. Between systems, clearer windows offer good visibility and calmer conditions. On exposed ridges and near the mountain corridor it can feel breezy, while days are generally cool to mild.
After the border, valleys see frequent cloud and drizzle, with light rain bands moving through. Closer to the fjord, short dry slots and occasional sunshine break the overcast, but showers remain common. Days stay cool to mild, and a westerly breeze near the coast can make it feel cooler between showers.
