August on the Sultan's Trail from Budapest to Belgrade offers a mix of sunny days and intermittent rain showers. The average temperatures range from warm to hot, with variations between regions. While Central Hungary experiences mostly sunny weather interspersed with episodes of rain, particularly in Budapest, the Southern Great Plain sees a similar pattern with heavy rainfall occurring occasionally, especially around Ófalu and Dunapataj. In Vojvodina, the weather maintains a sunny disposition, with heavier rain showers becoming more apparent as the trail progresses towards Belgrade.

Central Hungary

Beginning in Budapest, the trail sees several sunny days with temperatures frequently hitting the mid-30s°C, interrupted by sporadic rain showers causing slight drops in temperature. Moving through Ófalu and Tordas, the pattern continues with patchy rain contributing to occasional brief cooling.

In Nadap and Székesfehérvár, sunny weather dominates, though heavy rain episodes occur, leading to temperature dips and brief overcast skies. Further along, Tác experiences moderate to heavy rain showers occasionally, disrupting the otherwise dry and sunny conditions.

Southern Great Plain

Crossing into Dunaföldvár and Dunapataj, the weather remains largely sunny and dry, with pockets of heavy rain showers particularly around Kalocsa and Pörböly. Temperatures remain high throughout, often in the 30s°C, with rainfall providing brief relief.

Near Mohács and Hercegszántó, the weather stabilizes with persistent sunshine and less frequent rain showers, encapsulated by sporadic cloud cover and occasional heavy downpours.

Vojvodina

As the path reaches Bezdan and Sombor, sunny weather is generally observed with brief periods of cloud cover due to patchy rain. Apatin and Bogojevo experience occasional heavy rains transitioning to dryer conditions as the trail nears the mid-section.

Bač and Bačka Palanka see a high frequency of clear skies, interrupted by short bursts of rainfall. The pattern continues through Neštin and Fruška Gora Andrevlje, with short heavy rain incidents amidst generally dry conditions, until reaching Belgrade which is marked by sunny days interspersed with brief rain showers towards the end of the trail.

This overview is for an early August start, walking the standard stages.
But, I'll be happy to make one specifically for this forecast.
