The weather in Central Hungary, including Budapest, shows a diverse pattern. Early in the month, Budapest has light freezing rain with temperatures as low as -10°C, climbing to highs around 11°C. Precipitation varies with moderate snow and rain showers. As you advance through Ófalu and Tordas, similar variability persists with cloudy and overcast skies frequently interrupted by rain and occasional heavy snow. By the time you reach Székesfehérvár, temperatures hover between -13°C and 13°C, with sporadic sunny spells contradicting overcast days. Rainfall is consistent but generally light.
As the trail progresses into the Southern Great Plain from Dunaföldvár, cloudy days dominate, with temperatures ranging from -16°C to 15°C. The outlook remains mostly overcast with minor snowfall, accompanied by occasional periods of moderate rain. Further south towards Kalocsa, light snow alternates with heavy rain showers, with temperatures slightly rising to offer more mild moments, but still punctuated by the frequent cold of cloudy days.
Crossing into Vojvodina, the weather continues to alternate between overcast and light rain or snow. In Bezdan, the trail sees highs up to 15°C, balancing between moderate sunny periods and notable rainfall. Through areas like Novi Sad and Sombor, the skies clear occasionally, bringing high temperatures of up to 18°C, although scattered showers remain.
