The weather in Alicante is quite warm and sunny in January, with little to no rain.
Going further to areas like Orito and Petrer, it gets a bit cooler with likely sunny, cloudy days and a little rain.
In Villena, you might experience heavier rain and the same cool temperature. The sun will still come out often.
Once you get to places like Yecla and Montealegre del Castillo, the temperature will lower slightly, and you might see different weather conditions, including sunny, cloudy days and some rain.
As you approach Pétrola and Albacete, the weather becomes more unpredictable with even colder temperatures, rain and possibly even snow. Despite these, most times, you will still have sunny spells.
So, the weather you'll experience on the Camino del Sureste in January will vary. Expect everything from sunny, warm weather along the coast to cooler weather with possible rain and snow inland.
