Starting at Cape Reinga, the weather fluctuates between sunny and patchy rain with temperatures peaking at 25°C. Moving to Te Paki and Te Kao, the forecast remains variable with occasional heavy showers, but also numerous clear days. At the Pukenui and Waipapakauri stretch, we can observe frequent sunny intervals alongside episodes of heavy rain.

Continuing to Ahipara and Kaitaia, the pattern of sunshine and showers holds, with intermittent heavy rainfall, before reaching the relatively wetter areas of Raetea Peak Camp Site and Mangamuka. Kerikeri and Paihia see moderate rains followed by sunny spells, leading to generally overcast skies at Waikare.

The transition to Whangarei and Ōakura is marked by patchy rain and moderate showers. Similar conditions persist across Whananaki, Matapouri, and Ngunguru, characterized by partly cloudy skies and occasional sun. For the southern regions like Pataua and Ocean Beach, heavier rainfall is interspersed with sunny stretches.

As the route approaches Auckland, from Ruakaka Beach through to Orewa and Stillwater, the weather shows frequent shifts between partly cloudy days and patches of rain. Finally, in the Auckland area, expect mixed weather with occasional showers and cloud cover, bringing the journey to a humid but mild conclusion.
