Marlborough

Starting at Picton, the weather showcases a combination of sunny spells and patchy rain, with temperatures peaking around 26°C and lows of 8°C. Moving through Schoolhouse Bay Campsite and further beyond to Endeavour Inlet, moderate to heavy showers are witnessed, contributing to sporadic rainfall accumulation, especially noticeable around Endeavour Inlet with a heavy downpour recorded at 35.6 mm. As the trail extends through Camp Bay Campsite, Bay Of Many Coves Campsite, and towards Torea Bay, the pattern alternates between sunny periods and significant rain showers, with notable precipitation at Torea Bay reaching 36.3 mm.

Continuing onwards through Onahau Bay and Te Māhia, the weather transitions to less frequent rains, showing more sunny and partly cloudy days with some isolated incidences of moderate to heavy rain. Anakiwa and Havelock experience mixed conditions, with heavier showers tapering off as the route progresses through to Canvastown and Pelorus Bridge, where rain and sun intermingle.

Tasman

Entering the Tasman region at Starveall Hut, the prior sunny conditions persist, albeit punctuated with some cloudy and rainy intervals. Old Man and Bishops Cap areas see varied conditions, with a few periods of moderate showers, particularly notable on certain days where precipitation peaks significantly. As the journey continues to Top Wairoa Hut and Hunters Hut, alternating showers and dry conditions typify this section, setting the stage for a noticeable calm ahead at Beeby's Knob.

Approaching the final stretch at St Arnaud, the weather stabilizes to predominantly sunny skies, with temperatures hovering from 16°C to 23°C, accompanied by some isolated rain showers, marking a fitting climatic end to this diverse trail journey.
