Marlborough

Starting from Picton, expect a combination of sunny days and intermittent patchy rain. Temperatures hover between cool mornings at 5°C and milder afternoons up to 21°C, with occasional heavier rain showers. The Schoolhouse Bay Campsite sees similar mixed weather, with partly cloudy skies and occasional moderate rain, while temperatures range from 9°C to 17°C. Endeavor Inlet and Camp Bay Campsite continue the trend of patchy rain interspersed with sunnier breaks and moderate rain at times, as highs reach 19°C.

Onward to the Bay of Many Coves Campsite, there are partly cloudy conditions with both light showers and some heavier spells, maintaining temperatures from 7°C to 17°C. As you move through Torea Bay to Anakiwa, expect brief bouts of heavy rain but also long sunny turns bringing warmth up to 22°C. The trail through Havelock and Canvastown presents periods of heavy rain interspersed with some clear skies, with temperatures fluctuating from as low as 5°C at night to 21°C in the day.

Tasman

At Starveall Hut, the weather features partly cloudy days with intervals of sun and moderate rain showers, temperatures climbing to 22°C. In Old Man, patches of rain continue, with bright sunny days breaking through, and highs reaching 21°C. Moving to Bishops Cap and Top Wairoa Hut, expect clouds and rain showers, heavy at times, but warmer daylight temperatures up to 24°C.

Hunters Hut experiences cloudy skies with both sunny spells and moderate showers, followed by Beeby's Knob with heavier rain interludes, seeing cooler temperatures dropping to 4°C at night. St Arnaud concludes the journey with a mix of bright sun and rain showers, maintaining a cozy high of 21°C.
