The Camino Vasco del Interior walk in November has changing weather. It starts in Irún and goes through the Basque Country before reaching Castile and León. Walkers will see a lot of different weather during autumn on this trail.
In the Basque region, rain often occurs. You will experience both light and heavy showers with short periods of sun. From Irún to Beasain, temperatures usually go from 18°C at the highest to 11°C at the lowest. As you get closer to Zegama, it can get a bit colder with a low around 7°C. A common thing throughout this region is the high amount of rain, with the highest average in Beasain at 12.4mm.
When you reach Álava, the weather starts to change. In Salvatierra, there is less chance of rain and more cloudy days. Here, temperatures get cooler, with highs of 13°C and lows of about 7°C. As you continue to Vitoria, you still might experience rain but temperatures stay the same.
In the last part towards Burgos in the Castile and León region, weather and temperatures stay mostly the same. From La Puebla de Arganzón, you will notice a drop in temperature, with the highest around 13°C and the coldest around 5-6°C. Here, there are fewer rain showers and more sunny and partly cloudy days, which is a welcome change from the earlier rainy conditions. By the time you reach Burgos, you can expect some sun and a high temperature of 13°C, making a pleasant end to the walk.
