It’s usually cold in fall, with temperatures between 5°C and 15°C. You might experience rain and sunshine in the first week in the Burgundy region. As you go towards central France, it gets a bit warmer (7°C-13°C), with a little more rain.
On the central part of the route which goes through cities like Nevers and Saint-Pierre-le-Moûtier, you’ll see cloudy weather and might get some rain. Temperatures stay between 7°C to 13°C. The same weather continues as you move south to places like Lurcy-Lévis and Ainay-le-Château, but it gets a little colder.
In the southwestern regions of France, like Sainte-Foy-la-Grande and Saint-Ferme, it warms up a bit (5°C to 12°C) and there's less rain.
As you move into the Landes region and the Pyrénées-Atlantiques, it gets cooler (3°C-13°C). You might see several overcast and sunny days in towns like Mont-de-Marsan and Saint-Sever.
Finally, in the Basque Country, the weather can change between rainy, sunny, and cloudy days. The temperature is usually between 5°C and 13°C. So, the weather on the Voie de Vézelay route is a mix of rain, clouds, and sunshine with cool temperatures.
