The Vía Serrana begins in La Línea de la Concepción, where it is sunny and temperatures range from 19°C during the night to 26°C during the day. As you travel eastward to San Martín del Tesorillo and Jimena de la Frontera, you expect temperatures to rise slowly.
As you head further into the country, locations such as El Colmenar and Cañada del Real Tesoro have more sun and hotter days with a high of around 33°C, but the nights are cool.
When you reach the mountains around Jimera de Líbar and Ronda, you may experience rain and hot weather.
The final part of the trip that includes Olvera, Coripe, Montellano, and El Coronil is in the hottest part of summer with temperatures up to 37-38°C in the day and an average of 22°C at night.
The last stretch of the journey through Utrera, Alcalá de Guadaíra, and Sevilla continues to be sunny with high temperatures, and it almost never rains.
In general, be prepared for sun and heat on the Vía Serrana, with a few clouds and occasional rain specifically in certain areas.
