The Fishermen's Trail in Portugal is usually nice in September. You'll go through many seaside towns from São Torpes to Lagos. It's mostly sunny but sometimes a little cloudy. It hardly ever rains, except near Luz and Lagos at the end of the trip.
In the northern area from São Torpes to Porto Covo, it's mostly sunny. The temperature will be around 24°C in the day and 19°C at night. You might see more clouds and a bit more rain as you go from Vila Nova de Milfontes to Almograve.
When you move from Zambujeira do Mar to Odeceixe, it gets a bit hotter, up to 28°C on really sunny days. Nights are around 18°C. Rain is sparse but might happen sometimes.
From Aljezur to Arrifana, you might see more rain, but the temperature stays the same, with highs around 25-27°C and lows around 18-19°C.
Lastly, as you get closer to Lagos from Carrapateira, going through Sagres and Salema, you might get caught in heavier rain. Day temperatures will be between 23-26°C and nights around 20-21°C. It's a bit warmer and wetter here.
During the whole trip, it hardly ever rains more than 1.2mm per day and the temperature stays quite the same. The Fishermen's Trail in September is usually nice, with mostly sunny weather, a bit of rain, and comfortable temperatures.
