Weather forecast for the West Highland Way in November

Throughout November, the West Highland Way experiences varied weather conditions. Early in the month, areas like Milngavie and Drymen are subjected to frequent rain showers. Daily precipitation reaches up to 31 mm, and temperatures fluctuate between 11°C during the day and a chilly 2°C at night. As the days proceed, conditions remain similarly unsettled, with Rowardennan seeing instances of freezing rain and snow mingling with the persistent rain showers. The temperatures hover between highs of 10°C and lows of -2°C.

In the latter part of the route, locations such as Inverarnan and Tyndrum encounter periods of cloudiness interspersed with both heavy and light showers. Rain amounts decrease somewhat compared to the start, although occasional downpours still occur. Throughout this stage, daytime highs are modest, peaking near 12°C, while night-time lows drop to around -2°C. As the trail progresses through Inveroran and Kingshouse, the weather remains capricious, featuring a mix of cloudy skies and intermittent rain, sometimes accompanied by fog.

Towards the month's end, in Kinlochleven and Fort William, the weather takes a colder turn. Snowfalls intermittently blanket the area, especially around Kinlochleven, as temperatures oscillate between 12°C during warmer spells and down to -3°C on frigid nights. Rain showers persist, with Fort William recording significant daily highs in precipitation, around 30 mm on wettest days, although sunny intervals occasionally pierce through the clouds.
