South Tyrol

From the northern lake basin into the Fanes plateau, expect frequent overcast with recurring light to moderate snowfall, punctuated by short, very clear spells. The cold is persistent, roughly -15°C to -5°C, with the clearest nights feeling sharpest. As you move onto the higher benches around Fanes, snow remains likely, and occasional heavier bursts can quickly reduce visibility. Breaks in the weather do occur, offering crisp sun on fresh snow before cloud builds again.

Belluno

Crossing the high ridges around Lagazuoi and Nuvolau, long cloudy stretches alternate with snowstorms, at times heavy. Skies can open briefly with bright, cold sun before the next band of snow arrives. Around Città di Fiume and Coldai the pattern stays wintry, with light to moderate snow frequent and visibility variable.

Farther south toward Vazzoler and Bruto Carestiato, temperatures edge closer to freezing and snowfall comes in pulses, with occasional intense falls mixed with quieter, overcast days. Beyond Sommariva al Pramperét and Pian de Fontana, clearer spells become a bit more common between systems, though cold mornings persist. Near the finish, skies are more mixed and it is often dry between passing bands of light snow or, at the very lowest elevations, a touch of drizzle, with daytime levels commonly around -10°C to 0°C.
