South Tyrol

From the northern lakes basin, mornings are cool with a lot of cloud and passing drizzle, then brief sunny breaks. Climbing onto the first high plateaus, the air turns colder and unstable; brief sleet or late snow flurries can appear around the highest saddles. Showers come and go through the day, and a few spells of steady rain are possible when broader systems move through. Temperatures span roughly from around freezing at dawn on the tops to the low-to-mid teens Celsius lower down.

Belluno

Across the high ground around Lagazuoi and Nuvolau, conditions stay exposed and changeable: a shifting mix of overcast, clearer windows, and frequent showers, with the odd heavier burst; in colder snaps, sleet or wet snow can brush the highest points. Around Pelmo and Civetta the pattern continues, with some grey starts, brighter intervals, then renewed showers or a longer wet spell. Expect temperatures from single digits on ridges to the high teens in sheltered areas.

Farther south toward the limestone towers and forests, the air feels a touch milder but instability persists, so light to moderate rain is common, punctuated by short dry breaks. The long traverse toward Pramperét and the descent to the trail’s end often bring warmer, slightly more humid days, with scattered afternoon showers or a nearby thunderstorm, but also occasional clearer afternoons after a front passes.
