In November, the Camino del Azahar witnesses a transition into cooler and wetter conditions typical of late autumn. The weather varies across the regions encountered along the trail. In Murcia, temperatures range from mild to warm with occasional rain showers disrupting stretches of sunlit days. Meanwhile, Castilla-La Mancha experiences cooler conditions with a more substantial amount of rainfall. This variance highlights the diversity in weather patterns across the journey, offering both sunny days and periods of rain.
In Cartagena, the weather in November is characterized by mostly sunny and partly cloudy days, with temperatures peaking around 27°C and lows at 14°C. There are instances of light rain, although they are sporadic. As the journey moves to Corvera, the conditions remain much the same, with an occasional moderate rain shower and temperatures slightly dipping, particularly notable during overnight periods.
Continuing to Murcia, the climate is predominantly sunny, with temperatures fluctuating from 20°C to 27°C during the day, cooled down further by periodic clouds and light rain showers. In Molina de Segura, the conditions echo previous trends with some days witnessing moderate to heavy showers, especially at the beginning and end of this segment.
Traveling further to Archena, the weather mostly stays sunny but with occasional rain. Highs reach up to 27°C while lows drop to 9°C during colder spells. In Cieza, despite warm spells peaking at 29°C, there are moderate rainfalls, particularly notable mid-journey. Jumilla's weather is more variable, with temperatures ranging from 13°C highs with periods of heavy rain, to brighter, sunnier days towards the end.
Finally, in Fuente Álamo, sun prevails with temperatures remaining moderate and light rain possible on some instances; however, they do not dominate the overall sunny outlook.
The section through Pétrola brings cooler, often rainy weather. Highs barely reach 21°C, with notable drops at night. The area experiences significant rainfall that contrasts heavily with Murcia's sunnier backdrop, highlighting the trail's shift into cooler and damper conditions as it progresses through Castilla-La Mancha.
