Climbing to Ortu, temperatures fall sharply, with highs between -3°C and 12°C and lows -4°C to 4°C, and heavy snowfall can deliver up to 66 mm in a day. Around Carozzu, cloudy periods dominate with mixed light rain and snow; highs sit near 1°C to 13°C, lows -6°C to 6°C, and daily totals are usually modest, near 10 mm at most.
